Well......here we go....

I can not believe that the time has finally come....

We leave tomorrow to go bring our little girl home....forever....

We started this journey on April 21, 2013.  So here we are at exactly eleven months to the day. At times it seems as if it was dragging by so slowly and yet the last few weeks have been a whirlwind.

So crazy...

And so worth it.

Can not wait to meet her....just seems surreal.....we love her so much yet she has no idea who we are. 

We have loved her for almost a year and yet she will be fearful of us. So hard to accept the trama these little ones go through.  We all know it's worth it in the end but she doesn't know that. All she knows is that she has left the only family she has ever known....been dropped off at the orphanage for the last week....probably wondering when her foster parents are coming back for her...

Many of you have asked about how things will be once we get home.

Our top priority will be getting to know MinLan and helping her to feel safe with us. We want her to know that we will ways provide for her, comfort her and that she can count on us to meet her needs.

It will be very important for Bryan and I to be the ones that hold her, feed her, comfort her.....until we feel like she is bonding well.

For some little ones this cocooning period takes a few months for some years. We are asking favor from The Lord over our bonding/attachment process. 

We'll carefully consider her reaction/feelings before we venture out with her in the coming months. We don't want her to be overwhelmed. 

I'll share soon about ways that you can help us with her bonding and attachment.
